At the 2015 Dubai Airshow, SAAB announced that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) had placed a 1.27 billion-dollar order for two Airborne Early Warning aircraft solution which uses the Bombardier Global 6000 aircraft as a platform.

The Global 6000 will be the very first Bombardier aircraft that will be used as the new prestigious AEW&C and Swing Role Surveillance System aircraft. SAAB has built a strong expertise in developing AEW aircraft solution and we are proud they chose the Global 6000 aircraft to develop their next generation of Airborne Surveillance Systems. The Global 6000’s size, cost and performance as well as its robust structure and its ability to fly high and far for extended periods of time without refueling are only some of the many attributes that makes this platform the best choice for the UAE’s future surveillance aircraft solution.
