    President, Residential Construction Council of Ontario (RESCON)

    The president of RESCON, Richard has represented the residential construction industry in Ontario since 1991. He is a frequent speaker and popular source quoted by the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA) mainstream media on construction industry issues, and writer who has been published in the Toronto Sun, Daily Commercial News and ReNew Canada magazine.

    Aubrey Le Blanc
    Chief Administrative Officer, Ontario Building Officials Association (OBOA)

    Aubrey is a world-class leader with extensive board and association experience within the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. His remarkable career has spanned several continents, and included advising governments as well as establishing partnerships for consumer advocacy. He currently holds the position of Chief Administrative Officer of the OBOA, as well as senior volunteer positions with the Canadian Standards Association (CSA), Standards Council of Canada (SCC) and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

    Executive Director, Legal, Digital 14 LLC

    David Laliberté is a corporate lawyer with more than 20 years of experience across the telecommunications, media and technology industries. His broad areas of expertise include corporate governance, intellectual property law, technology law, strategic planning, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity law and privacy.  David also has a wealth of knowledge in the roles and responsibilities of board members having worked alongside board leadership on several public, private and not-for-profit organizations.

    Throughout his career, David has held various counsel and leadership positions at organizations including Dentons LLP, Baker & McKenzie LLP, Rogers Communications Inc., BlackBerry Ltd. and Microsoft Corp. As Executive Director of Legal Affairs for Digital 14 LLC, David manages a team of six lawyers and is responsible for developing and implementing Digital14’s corporate IP strategy.  Until 2016, David served as Director of Intellectual Property Policy at Microsoft in Redmond, Washington, where he was responsible for driving the company’s IP strategy, positioning, and engagement in several jurisdictions, including Europe, India and Canada. 

    David received his Bachelor of Arts, with honors, in Public Policy and Administration from York University. He went on to earn his Master of Business Administration and Juris Doctorate in Law from the University of Ottawa.
