Join the Canadian Business Council (CBC) Abu Dhabi in collaboration with the Embassy of Canada to the UAE for a live webinar on Canada’s Global Skills Strategy and Start-Up Visa Program.

This event is participated by CBC Dubai.

Global Skills Strategy (GSS)

The Government of Canada knows that employers want to attract top talent to work for their company, and they want a fast and predictable process to do this. To help employers find these highly skilled workers faster, IRCC introduced the Global Skills Strategy (GSS). The strategy features faster application processing times, work permit exemptions and enhanced customer service.

The Global Skills Strategy provides businesses in Canada with a faster way to bring in global talent in order to scale-up and grow—creating better jobs for more Canadians.

Start-Up Visa

The Canadian government’s innovation and skills plan has identified the nurturing of entrepreneurship and the growth of start-ups as vitally important to Canada's economy.

Canada’s Start-up Visa Program targets immigrant entrepreneurs with the skills and potential to build businesses in Canada that:

  • are innovative
  • can create jobs for Canadians
  • can compete on a global scale
