The Canadian Business Council (CBC) Abu Dhabi in collaboration with PKF is organizing an informative webinar on UAE Economic Substance Regulations (ESCR).

UAE ESR was introduced in 2019. In-scope Licensees already undertook first round of compliances for the financial years beginning on or after 1 January 2019. Regulatory Authority have been reviewing such compliances and approaching Licensees to seek further information and / or documentation. In view of the International ramifications and steep penalties for non-compliances, it becomes vital for the UAE businesses to evaluate their position under UAE ESR correctly and comply appropriately on regular basis. This webinar will cover the key provisions, required compliances and experience so far with this important regulation.

  • Applicability and exemptions
  • key current provisions
  • required compliances
  • related issues faced by in-scope Licensees in meeting the economic substance tests and
  • what areas / issues authorities have looked into so far
