    Speakers: 

    Mr. Larry McClure, Senior Investment Officer, Embassy of Canada to the UAE. Larry joined the trade section in 2021 and has been in Abu Dhabi since 2016. Larry’s work supports UAE businesses seeking to capitalize on the great benefits of investing in Canada by working as a trusted partner and advises on the opportunities available from municipal, provincial, and regional partners in Canada. Larry holds an MBA from the Warwick Business School, UK specializing in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Larry is currently conducting research toward a Doctorate of Business Administration at Aston Business School, UK specializing in Strategy and Innovation.

    Mr. Aaron Paquette, First Secretary (Migration), Embassy of Canada to the UAE. Aaron joined the Canadian Foreign Service in 2016. He has lived in the UAE since 2018. Aaron holds an Honours Bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto - St. George specializing in international relations. He holds a master’s degree from the University of Auckland in international relations and human rights. In addition to the above, Aaron has also worked or studied in Washington D.C., USA; Amsterdam, The Netherlands; and Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

    Mr. Dan Shea is the co-head of Dentons' Canadian Corporate Group and has a practice focused on capital markets and private equity transactions. Dan advises issuers and underwriters on investment grade and high yield debt offerings, equity offerings and debt liability management transactions. He also advises companies and private equity sponsors on a broad range of mergers and acquisitions and private equity investments.

    As the founder of Trowbridge Professional Corporation, Mr. Todd Trowbridge combines solid experience with an in-depth understanding of what private corporations need to do to save on taxes and grow a profitable global business. Todd is committed to problem-solving and helping his clients assess and plan for the overall tax effectiveness of their corporate structure. Todd has completed levels I, II and III of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-depth Taxation Program and is a current member of the Canadian Tax Foundation and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario.
