The joint 3rd MENA Telehealth Conference and 26th ISfTeH International Conference will take place in Dubai from March 7-8 2022.

Each year, the International Society for Telemedicine & eHealth, the global digital health network, organises its annual International Conference in a different country. This is done in conjunction with one of the national or institutional members of the International Society for Telemedicine & eHealth, the global digital health network.

It is a landmark event that helps the ISfTeH to put its mission of “facilitating the international dissemination of knowledge and experience in telemedicine and eHealth and providing access to recognized experts in the field worldwide” into practice.

Over the past three decades, the event has been staged around the world. The most recent editions have been in Japan (held with the Japanese Telemedicine and Telecare Association – JTTA), Portugal (Portuguese National Center for Telehealth – CNTS), Finland (Finnish Society of Telemedicine & eHealth – FSTeH/STeHS) and Morocco (Moroccan Society for Telemedicine & eHealth – MfSTeH/AMTe).

By linking up with one of its national members each year, the ISfTeH helps to showcase local/regional initiatives to the international community, while also giving an opportunity to the members of its worldwide network to present their activities and experience and build connections with those local stakeholders.

In 2022, the ISfTeH teams up with its national member for the United Arab Emirates, the Emirates Health Informatics Society (EHIS), to stage the 26th ISfTeH International Conference in Dubai. This is the first time that the ISfTeH International Conference is being held in the Middle East, a region where the ISfTeH has seen a considerable growth in its membership in recent years.
